I was the product designer for Madesalon, an Amsterdam-based skincare salon, where I designed and developed their eCommerce website between October and November 2020. The goal was to create a distinctive, user-friendly platform to boost first-time treatment bookings and online product sales. I conducted competitor analysis, identifying weak design patterns in templated skincare sites, and used customer interviews and surveys to map out personas based on treatment types, each with unique needs and behaviors.
Over five days, I designed multiple iterations in Figma, developing a cohesive brand style and component system. The final website was built in Webflow for design flexibility and later converted into a Shopify theme to support eCommerce functionality. After launch, the webshop drove a 35% increase in online sales over two years while boosting treatment bookings by 20%. Following the success, they expanded with a men's line, for which I also contributed to the first branding and design.
